History in Rescue
Erika started in rescue with adopting Attila as a young pup from the local animal shelter. Turns out, Attila is a pit mix. That started her on the mission to help pitbull-type dogs, and their pawrents. That’s also when she started volunteering in the shelter/rescue world, at first as a walker. That evolved into, after rescuing Huba, then Zola, all pitbull -type dogs, into a ‘full-time’ volunteer job. Erika and her family do all they can to support local rescues with organizing events, and fundraisers, transporting animals, fostering and of course the inevitable ‘foster-failing’. Erika’s ultimate dream is to become a philanthropist realtor, to have her own non-profit organization to help dogs,
